Things To Do

There's a lot to do in Houston, so you can't go wrong with wherever you decide to spend your free time. We have included some of our favorite spots below. Organization: 1. Coffee & Breakfast 2. Lunch & Dinner 3. Bars & Breweries 4. Activities

Agora

1712 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77098

Great coffee shop near wedding festivities.

Bebidas

2606 Edloe Street, Houston, TX 77027

A good spot for coffee and juice near wedding festivities. Adele's cousin, Amelie, used to work here!

Blacksmith

1018 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77006

Another great spot for your morning coffee.

Boomtown Coffee

242 West 19th Street, Houston, TX 77008

Great coffee in the Heights.

Brass Tacks

612 Live Oak Street, Houston, TX 77003

Another popular coffee shop!

Empire Café

1732 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77098

Adele’s favorite brunch spot. You order at the bar and most of the seating is outside. They serve their coffee with a little shortbread cookie and it is what dreams are made of. Adele usually gets an iced mocha and French toast.

Mamaka

733 Yale Street, Houston, TX 77007

This is a great spot for the breakfast bowls with yogurt and fruit. Very instagram-able, and it is in the Heights Mercantile area, which has lots of cute shopping. There is coffee in the boutique next door as well.

Milk & Cookies

2809 Saint Street, Houston, TX 77027

The best chocolate chip cookies.

BOIL HOUSE

606 East 11th Street, Houston, TX 77008

This is just here for anyone who short circuits when they go too long without crawfish (looking at you, Uncle Guy).

Central Market

3815 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77027

Prepared foods and made to order sandwiches are great to grab and go. Adele’s favorites are the California Connection & Turkey Manchego.

The Gypsy Poet

1050 Studewood Street, Houston, TX 77008

Pizza that’s 10000/10.

Handies Douzo

3510 White Oak Drive, Houston, TX 77007

It’s only bar seating here, but the hand rolls are great. You’ll need a res if you’re trying to go for dinner!

Hughie's

1802 West 18th Street, Houston, TX 77008

There are two Hughie’s locations, but we are partial to W 18th. We are here almost weekly. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. Very casual.

Local Foods

2555 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77019

Local Foods has a zillion locations, and it is a great quick lunch. Pro tip: you can make any sandwich a salad, if you wish.

Pinkerton's Barbecue

1504 Airline Drive, Houston, TX 77009

A favorite cue spot!

The Pit Room

1511 Airline Drive, Houston, TX 77009

A Perrier family favorite!

Truth BBQ

110 South Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX 77007

Long lines and delicious cue! We recommend getting in line before they open. Wes recommends you order brisket and tater tot casserole.

Street Food Thai Market

1010 West Cavalcade Street, Houston, TX 77009

Very delicious. Very divey. They don’t sell alcohol here, but the meal will be one of your favorites. Also pretty small, so we don’t recommend a big group here.

Squable

632 West 19th Street, Houston, TX 77008

A really fun and delicious meal on the nicer side. The same restaurant group also owns Nancy’s Hustle, and it’s also delicious.

93' Til

1601 West Main Street, Houston, TX 77006

A fun cocktail spot!

Anvil

1424 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77006

Great spot in Montrose for a flirty cocktail. Close to wedding festivities. They have a second bar upstairs called Refuge that is even vibey-er.

Betelgeuse Betelgeuse

2101 Washington Avenue, Houston, TX 77007

Dive bar. If you're trying to late night on Friday, they have karaoke and it's always a hit.

Eight Row Flint

1039 Yale Street, Houston, TX 77008

Great spot for drinks! Mostly outdoors. If you’re feeling lucky, buy a round of ring toss. Fun fact: our first date was here.

Eureka Heights Brew Co

941 West 18th Street, Houston, TX 77008

A fun brewery. Very casual.

Great Heights Brewing Company

938 Wakefield Drive, Houston, TX 77018

This is not close to wedding festivities, but it is Wes's neighborhood brewery. Fun fact: he is in the top 5% of their customers.

Kirby Ice House

3333 Eastside Street, Houston, TX 77098

Expansive patio overlooking a myriad of TVs. Very close to the church.

New Magnolia Brewing Co

1616 Bevis Street, Houston, TX 77008

Another solid brewery option.

The Remington

1919 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, TX 77027

The bar inside the St. Regis hotel — right next door to the Junior Leage, where the reception will be!

Shady Acres

Houston, TX 77008

If you’re trying to late night, Shady’s is a popular spot. It is part of a large block of bars in the Heights on 19th street.

West Alabama Ice House

1919 West Alabama Street, Houston, TX 77098

Laid back outdoor ice house with the best taco truck (Tacos Tierra Caliente) across the street. Make sure you have cash for your tacos!

A fun place with lots of activities including a 9 hole, par 3 course, pickleball, etc.

Shopping near wedding festivities. Includes: Anthropologie, J. Crew, Restoration Hardware, lululemon, Apple, Lilly Pulitzer, Sephora, Madewell, Paper Source, and more.

Memorial Park

6501 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77007

If you’re trying to get your hot girl walk in, Memorial Park is a great spot! There’s also a driving range here if that’s what you’re into.

PKL Social

1112 Shepherd Drive, Houston, TX 77007

Another spot for the pickleballers.

River Oaks District

4444 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77027

High end shopping and dining near wedding festivities.

Houston Zoo

6200 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX 77030
