On that Sunday morning, my brother Wale and Adesha, my sister in-law, realized I was planning to head home after visiting for the weekend without accompanying them to their Church. Adesha wouldn't have it and convinced me to go to church with them. Thank God I did! Otherwise I would have missed meeting the love of my life. After the service, I noticed Adesha was talking with 2 lady friends. I was instantly captivated by Antoinette and decided I would go say "Bye" to Adesha knowing she would introduce us. The plan worked! After speaking to Antoinette for a few minutes, I knew I wanted her in my life. I got her number and then we texted and spoke a few days later. We went on our first date a few weeks later and the rest is history!

As a vendor at the African Cultural Fest in Oakland, I met a lot of people that attended Bay Area Christian Church. Since I was living in Fairfield at the time, the commute was better than going to San Jose. I visited the church the next Sunday and liked it. After my third visit, Adesha, the host of the festival and my new friend, introduced me to her brother-in-law, Kunle. I saw him from a distance and thought he was cute before talking to him. We both work in tech and connected on that level. We exchanged numbers and talked a couple days after. That's when he trapped me... and stole my heart.

After a 2 mile hike in Pacifica, we made it to the beach. We laid out the towel but my puppy started to run around us fast and put mud everywhere. We got on our knees as he was going crazy. Then, Kunle pulls out the book we're reading and then rose petals. I was confused and didn't know why he was making a mess on the beach. Then, he started to tell me how much he loved me and pulled out the ring.
