We first crossed paths in our second year of university (2013–2014), when I walked into class late and unknowingly caught his attention. Funny enough, I noticed him too. By chance, I added myself to a group project—and it turned out to be his group. Nothing happened then. Life moved on, and though we stayed connected online, we didn’t talk much. Fast forward to our fourth year (2015–2016), we found ourselves in the same class again. This time, there was always a seat saved for me, and we slowly grew comfortable talking—no rush, just ease. Eventually, he found the courage to message me, using a class question as an excuse. He later told me that from the moment he saw me walk into that class in second year, he knew I would be his wife. After graduating in 2016, we began dating. We grew, took time apart, but never truly left each other’s lives. With patience and certainty, we found our way back—knowing it had always been us. That journey led us home to Nigeria, where we celebrated our traditional wedding in November 2025, and now in 2026, our official wedding—grateful that a love that began quietly in a classroom found its way back.
