PRN

Prishtina International Airport (PRN) is the only airport in the country. Since the wedding celebrations are at a high season, and the Kosovar diaspora flock back to the motherland ,we recommend booking your flights in advance to get the best deals. Best options from London: 1. Wizzair.com direct from Luton Airport 2. EASYJET starting DIRECT from MAY to PRISHTINA (from gatwick) 3. British Airways to Prishtina (starting in July so may be bit tight to arrive for the wedding but certainly good for a return) 4. Or a mix of Tirana, AL and Prishtina, KS on BA- there seem to be several flights a week to Tirana- then we will help with transfer Non-UK flights: Lufthansa, Austrian, Turkish, Swiss -all operate in Kosovo. Cheaper airlines such as Easyjet, Eurowings and Tuijet also have good connections with Kosovo especially in the summer (thanks to our diaspora :). Neighboring airports that can be used include Tirana (TIA), Albania (a 3-hour drive) and Skopje (SKP) (a 1-hour drive &great option on WIZZAIR too), from which there are buses and car rentals.

Another great option is the lovely new hotel in town called CITYINN (has super reviews too!). It is close to some of our favorite cafes and bars as well (including SOMA). It is a quick 2min walk off of the main Mother Teresa Boulevard. The owners (friends of Adea's), have provided a discount code for all wedding guests. We have blocked rooms for our guests at Hotel Sirius with a special rate for the wedding weekend - the hotel's two bars (on the 2nd floor and rooftop) are both great for drinks. HOW TO BOOK: To get the discounted rate, PLEASE CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY at +383 38 222 280 (or email at info@hotelsirius.net) and make sure you tell them you are "ATTENDING ADEA AND TOM'S WEDDING". If you try through booking.com it will say sold out (because we blocked the rooms :)). They will send you a form to fill in with your info in order to secure the preferred rate. We (and by we, we mean Adea's mother) negotiated a special rate at the hotel for 1-3 of 115 Euros for double / 88 Euros for single (which includes breakfast, parking, gym facilities etc).

Swiss Diamond Hotel Prishtina

Luxurious, super central hotel - very close to Sirius as well (3 minutes walk). World Bank/IMF staff get a special rate. Book by contacting hotel directly for WB-IMF staff, and others through booking.com.

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous pool area. It's a bit outside of the city but a great choice. We may do HappyHour there after the wedding, or a chill day by the pool -TBC $100/night for 2people

Beautiful new hotel in the MARIGONA RESIDENCE which is about 15km from Prishtina- lots of cafes and restaurants around- a great option (great spa so i hear too)

We managed to reserve several rental cars for the guests, thanks to Adea's cousin Glauk who manages the Toyota Dealership. Details to follow. Ask Adea in advance should you wish to book a car or some sort of transport.

There are plenty of cheap and good AIRBNB options in town, good for groups as well. Message Adea if you need help deciding. Always advisable to stay closer to city center due to traffic and ease of getting around.
