While we would truly love to celebrate our wedding with all of your children, we ask that you only bring them if they are listed when you go to RSVP on the website, as we have a strict capacity for the reception. If you have a child that is 2 years or less that you plan to sit on your lap, they are of course welcome to come, even if they are not listed when you RSVP! We know of quite a few of you who will fall in this category. If their names are listed, please make sure to RSVP for them as well! If you have any questions on this, do not hesitate to reach out!
Similar answer as above; if they are listed when you go to RSVP, we would absolutely love to have you both present at our wedding and reception! Otherwise, we ask that just you attend.
As our wedding will be a Catholic Mass, we kindly ask that guests dress respectfully and modestly in keeping with the sacred setting. Semi-formal or formal attire is appropriate. We recommend avoiding very short hemlines, low-cut tops, or clothing that is too casual (such as shorts, jeans, or sneakers). Thank you for helping us honor the reverence of the occasion.
Absolutely not! We are so excited to celebrate with you, no matter your religious beliefs. We do ask that you only receive the Eucharist if you are a practicing Catholic who is prepared to receive. However, we would LOVE for you to still come and receive a blessing during communion even if you are not Catholic!
We will be serving barbeque food for dinner. The meat is both gluten and dairy free (without the barbeque sauce on it). One of the sides will also be gluten and dairy free. At our cocktail hour, we will serve a variety of small bites which will include options for all dietary needs. There is also an hour window in between the Mass and the cocktail hour if you desire to grab a bite to eat before coming to the reception.
We kindly ask that all RSVP's would be in by May 1st, as to give proper time for the bride and groom to make sure your experience is as wonderful as possible!
We would suggest that you arrive to the Cathedral between 1:30-1:45pm. However, you may arrive earlier and pray in the sanctuary if you would like. Parking can be sparce with the Cathedral being downtown, so we recommend either parking in the South parking lot, or along the street on the East side.
We recommend driving or ordering an Uber to the reception space. The reception space is about 20 minutes away from the Cathedral, and the cocktail hour starts at 4:00pm.
Please reach out to the bride using her email: addyjporter1@gmail.com. She is more than happy to help with anything you need! If you have her phone number, feel free to text/call her as well with any questions.
