We met in high school on the cross country team—Marcus was one of the better runners and took it seriously, and Addy was mostly there to hang out with friends. We knew of each other, but everything really started with the Sadie Hawkins dance. Addy asked Marcus to go as part of a group, and Marcus didn’t even realize she was his date until dinner that night—he almost didn’t go at all, but in the end was very happy he did. What could’ve been awkward ended up being the complete opposite, and somehow most of the night turned into just the two of us talking and laughing. After that, we talked constantly and quickly realized there was something special, even before anything was official. When the timing felt right, we started dating and became inseparable. Even going to colleges an hour and a half apart and Addy spending a semester abroad didn’t change that—we made it work and grew even closer through it all. We both agree that the term “soulmates” seems statistically impossible—that one person could find the perfect person meant just for them. But somehow, we believe God had a bigger plan, because we may be the luckiest people in the world to have found each other. We truly believe He brought us together in His timing and has guided our relationship every step of the way. We’ve been best friends through everything, and we feel so blessed to have each other—not just for the past few years, but for the rest of our lives, continuing to grow in love, faith, and commitment together. Thank you all so much for being here to celebrate our love with us! -Addy & Marcus
