While we argue about who came up to who, we first met in January 2015 at 1716, a bar in Auburn. Addy was a freshman and Dan was a junior. It was Addy's first time meeting "The Creekside Boys," aka Dan and his roommates. Addy's sorority big sister Katherine was introducing the girls' friend group to theirs. After a dinner at a Mexican restaurant, Cancun's, the group made their way to 1716 in downtown Auburn. Dan will say that Addy made the first move by coming up to talk to him. While Addy says that she was just being nice. Regardless, we bonded over our New Jersey ties, Dan having grown up there and Addy's memories of her grandparent's beach house on the Jersey shore. Coincidentally enough, we also found out our dads went to same small college in Pennsylvania. We were pretty inseparable from then on out, hanging out nearly every day. We made it official on Feb. 3 of that year, only a few weeks after meeting. Eight years later, after a move to Atlanta, two graduations, two apartments, a puppy named Stuart and too many memories to count, "Daddy" (Dan + Addy) is officially making it to the altar.
