FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask all guests to stick to formal attire for our wedding. This means suits and ties for men, and long dresses, elegant cocktail dresses, or dressy separates for women. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and see everyone looking their best!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows all of our guests, especially parents, to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us. Thank you for understanding, and we truly appreciate you making arrangements to celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest by name or mentions a plus one, then yes, your date is welcome!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 in the afternoon. Please arrive no later than 3:15pm or you will sadly miss out on our ceremony.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Irish weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside in the estate gardens. Dinner and dancing will be held indoors.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out the "Travel" page on our site for more information on our hotel room blocks. Otherwise, there is a huge selection of hotels in Belfast as well as closer to the venue in Ballynahinch. AirBnB has some great options as well!

Question

How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

Shuttles will pick up from both the Europa and The Merchant to take guests to The Carriage Rooms. There will be shuttles back to both hotels at 10pm and 1am for the night owls. If you would prefer to drive, there is parking available on site.

Question

What is the weather like in Northern Ireland in July?

Answer

Pack layers, because we don't know! Average temperatures are around 60-65F, but you can see all four seasons in one day in Northern Ireland. Raincoats highly recommended.
