Amanda and Matt met at SDSU's Aztec Lanes during a mixer between Matt's fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, and Amanda's sorority, Delta Gamma. The first few years of knowing each other allowed for a deep friendship to grow, with many late nights and trips to Yogurtland. Their paths separated temporarily when they both began graduate school, Matt at Sacramento State and Amanda at UT Dallas. One day, Amanda decided it was the right time to let Matt know about her secret college crush (hint: he's bald). Luckily, the feeling was mutual and Matt booked a flight out to Texas. The pair hadn't seen each other in person in over two years, but it was as if no time had passed. They shortly began dating, frequently making the 3,400 mile trip between California and Texas/Oklahoma. After two years of long distance, they both relocated to be together in Redwood City, CA. Once Matt got the "ok" to propose from their fur-baby, Baloo, he popped the question and they were engaged!
