A true labor of love, George C. Boldt set out to build a 120-room castle (complete with tunnels, a powerhouse, and Italian gardens) as a display of his devotion to his wife, Louise. Boldt Castle is an incredible historic landmark in our area.

The Mina Anthony Common Nature Center is one of the largest nature centers in New York State. It sits on a pristine 600 acre peninsula of Wellesley Island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. There are 8 miles of hiking trails and beautiful views of the Thousand Islands from the trail vistas!
