Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Addison Freiheit and Alex Brouwer
Follow us through our favorite spots in San Diego County!
Balboa Park

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA

This was our very first date (and still, to this day) is one of our favorite spots to explore. We repeated this for one of our dating anniversaries and it was really sweet. Grab a coffee from James in Little Italy, wander through the Japanese Gardens, spot the the Rembrandt at the Timken Museum of Art, and then grab dinner at Seaport Village.

Liberty Station

San Diego, CA

Such a fun place to explore, you could spend a late afternoon wandering through the shops and grab dinner at one or a few of the different restaurants in the market. Extend your afternoon with a bike ride to Mission Bay!

Coronado

Coronado, CA

We last went here during Christmas, when everything is decorated and there’s an iceskating rink. But, my favorite way to explore is on bikes! Take the ferry, rent some bikes and take a ride around the island. Don’t forget to visit the gelato shop downtown and check out the famous Hotel Del.

Torrey Pines State Beach

Torrey Pines State Beach

CA

Grab tacos at Roberto's Mexican Food or pizza at Buonasera New York Pizzeria before hiking around Torrey Pines. Then go South to Sunset beach to watch, well, the sunset. (Heehee, Alex first told me he loved me at a cliffside spot near Torrey Pines)

Old Town San Diego

Old Town San Diego

2829 Juan Street, San Diego, CA 92110

You could spend an entire afternoon wandering downtown. If you have time and are feeling energetic, make a hike (or drive) up to the Father Junipero museum (where we got our engagement photos!). And don’t skip the margaritas and chips from any one of the downtown cantinas.

La Jolla

San Diego, CA

Grab a coffee from Better Buzz (not our fave coffee spot, but definitely a SoCal staple) and watch the sea lions at La Jolla!

Go See a Game!

Go See a Game!

See a Padres or SDFC game while you’re in town!

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido, CA 92027

A great place to let the kids run around!

Peterson's Donut Corner

903 South Escondido Boulevard, Escondido, CA 92025

Famous for their donuts, Alex went here hundreds of times growing up with his dad. Try the Raised Glazed!

Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Escondido

1999 Citracado Parkway, Escondido, CA 92029

Esco’s most famous export: beer from Stone HQ.

Kettle On Grand

119 East Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025

Grab a cup of coffee here!

Visit a Winery

Near to California wine country (Temecula), you’ll find a variety of wineries in the Escondido area. We like Cordiano and Orfila!

Daley Ranch

Escondido, CA

If you’re looking for a hike, Daley Ranch has plenty of trails to explore.

Communal Coffee

602 South Tremont Street, Oceanside, CA 92054

Addi’s favorite coffee shop—mostly for the vibes. They have good food, too;)
