When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We expect all RSVPs by August 1, 2024. We would love to have you there - however if you are unable to get your RSVP in by that date, we must submit final head counts to our vendors by that deadline. Thank you for your understanding.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but unfortunately this is a child-free event.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Please wear traditional Ghanaian or formal attire.

Can I bring a date or friend?

Answer

This is a seated, invite-only event. All invitations are already addressed to those that there are allotments for. Please do not bring any extra guests not listed on your invitation, or they will not be allowed entry.

Can I replace a guest on my RSVP?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. Only the listed guests on your invitations and RSVPs are allowed to attend. Please notify us if you have any questions.

Do you have any gift preferences?

Answer

We want to thank you all for sharing this special day with us. If you feel moved to provide us with a gift, a monetary contribution is preferred.

Will the ceremony and reception be held in the same location?

Answer

Everything will be held in one location. Our marriage ceremony will be followed by an exciting reception.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will be having several traditional Ghanaian foods at the event. Please alert us of any dietary restrictions before August 1, 2024 and we will attempt to make accommodations for you. Thank you!

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes, the wedding venue will have valet parking available for all guests!

What is the best mode of transportation throughout NYC?

Answer

We recommend using Uber/Lyft to get around to all destinations that are not the wedding. Parking can be expensive in NYC, and the hotels you are parked at may not allow in/out privileges, meaning you will have to pay to park again.

Road Tolls: Travel From DMV area

Answer

We highly recommend using an EZPASS if you plan to travel to NYC by car. The average toll cost (round trip) is about $100. Please be mindful of this and your budget to attend the event.

Hotels Local to Venue

Answer

We have 2 hotel blocks that are available by first come, first served basis. You can find the information for those locations in the accommodations area of this site. You are welcome to seek hotels/Airbnb outside of the city for rates that fit your needs as well.
