What is “garden cocktail” attire?

Answer

Garden cocktail attire is dressy yet relaxed. Ladies may opt for sundresses or flowy styles, while gentlemen might choose a button-down shirt, with or without a sport coat. Formal or black-tie attire is not required. As our ceremony and welcome gathering will take place in the garden, we recommend breathable fabrics and footwear suitable for an outdoor setting.

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will be held at The Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee. The ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor reception.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating. Parking is available directly outside the ceremony location.

Can I bring a plus one?

We kindly ask that guests attend only with the individuals listed on their invitation and included in their RSVP.

What if it rains?

Answer

We are closely monitoring the weather and will keep everyone updated if any changes need to be made. If it rains earlier in the day but clears up by ceremony time, the ceremony will most likely still take place at the golf course, with guests seated along the cart path instead of in the garden. If rain is expected during the ceremony, we will likely move the ceremony to Donelson Church of Christ. If a venue change becomes necessary, we will communicate updated details as quickly as possible. Please do not feel pressured if weather or location changes affect your ability to attend the ceremony. We completely understand! Everyone is still warmly invited to join us for the reception, which will remain at the golf course regardless of weather.
