Our Story
On Valentine’s Day 2020, Matthew asked me to be his girlfriend. I was a sophomore and he was a senior. When COVID hit, we spent our days together watching movies and taking our puppies for long walks. Matthew graduated and moved away for college. Two years later, I graduated and started school at Augustana. Despite the challenges of a long distance relationship for four years, we saw each other about once a month and made time for daily calls. We learned what love really consists of - patience and sacrifice. We also learned that love does not know distance. In May 2024, Matthew moved to Sioux Falls, and we spent the next months making up for lost time. We’re excited to begin our marriage and are grateful for your love and support as we celebrate this next chapter! Picture was taken in December of 2023 in Hawaii.
