How We Met

It all started with pickleball!

We grew up in the same hometown and went to the same church, but never really crossed paths since Maddox is two years older and we went to different schools. I always knew who he was though, and if I’m being honest... I may have had a little crush on him back then. It wasn’t until the summer of 2024, right before I moved to UGA, that we actually got to know each other. We started playing pickleball together, and before long we were spending more and more time together. Maddox was already at UGA, and somehow everything just fell into place at the right time. It’s a great reminder that God’s timing is always perfect!

The Proposal

Best day EVER!

On December 12, 2025, Maddox planned the most thoughtful proposal. He chose Pocket Park in Douglas right by Norris Shoes, a place I never would have thought of, but it was so beautiful and special. The moment itself completely surprised me in the best way. Our families were hiding inside a nearby shop, which made it even more meaningful. After he proposed, I thought we were just going to celebrate together, but he had one more surprise. He took me to Tip Top Deli, where all of our closest friends and family were waiting. We spent the rest of the night celebrating with everyone, and it truly was the best day ever!

Our Why

All for His Glory!

At the center of our relationship is our faith, and we are so grateful for the way God has brought us together. Looking back, it’s so clear that His timing and His plan were better than anything we could have imagined. Marriage, to us, is more than just a wedding day. It’s a commitment to walk through life together, support one another, and keep Christ at the center of everything we do. We feel incredibly blessed to have found each other, and we can’t wait to start our lives together and build a family that honors Him.
