You're certainly welcome to. Please keep in mind that it's an evening affair going well into the night. We also don't have room for a children specific area or "play zone" so they will be among the grown-ups. It's likely to be quite crowded given we hope we have JUST enough space for all our guests. We just want you to be advised.
Yes, and it's the recommended means of getting there. It means you can have a few drinks, not have to worry about parking and who doesn't like to say whatever comes after "Oh, Driver...".
Plenty of street parking is available within just a couple of blocks, particularly on the south side of Blake Street. That said, we want everyone to have a good time so we encourage car share services for that reason.
Don't think of this as a wedding. Think of it as a late summer garden party where 2 people happen to get married. You'll be standing mostly on grass (flats are both advised and requested), the weather will likely be highs around 80, but down to upper '60's in the evening (which feels cooler than you'd think). Ties would probably be a bit overkill for fellas, and, ladies, the word "gown" should never cross your minds. No one will be offended no matter how you show up so use your judgement. Just don't be a total slob, ok? Since folks have been asking, general guidelines for men would be that you could wear a jacket OR a tie, but there's no need to wear both, lest you be more overdressed than the groom.
We will have initial catering providing by Lemonade, an LA-based restaurant chain serving seasonal, California sandwiches and salads. Wine is being provided in four varietals by Silver Lake Wine, and we will feature four types of beer by Lawless of Lake Hollywood. Desserts will a selection of donuts from Donut Friend in Highland Park. There will be a surprise appearance by a local delicacy late in the evening.
