First comes Friendship, then comes Love

Stephen and Addi first met in freshman year geometry class. These two hit it off quickly. Stephen would frequently walk Addi home and schedule secret meet ups at the local park. Eventually this friendship burnt out in a flame; but true love will not cease and desist. Junior year, Stephen and Addi reconnected in a way that made time irrelevant. Addi was head of costumes for the play "13 Past Midnight" and Stephen was part of the backstage crew. As responsibilities were established, Stephen became the muscle assigned to Addi, forcing these two to spend hours together each day (as if that made either of them miserable). After spending 2-4 hours together at play rehearsals, there were phone calls lasting until 4 am the next morning. Endless laughs and true friendship laid the foundation for a life filled with love, support, and happiness, and that is just what they have now.

A Dream come True

In 2019, Stephen and Addi bought their first house in Garden City, Michigan. After many (many) months of renovations, Stephen built Addi her very own walk in closet, along with a beautiful place to live. They learned that a home isn’t just a house, it’s the joys of sweet potato casserole in the spring, bonfires on 90 degree days, NEVER staying in bed past 11 am, and coming home to a messy living room, courtesy of Dallas and Tank.

Animals are fun!

Stephen and Addi first adopted Tank in 2017. Tank was a hurricane puppy rescued from Louisiana and brought to Michigan by the Michigan Humane Society. Tank was already adopted once, but was returned to the Humane Society for reasons unknown. He was in the wrong place right time when Stephen and Addi found him. They went to the Michigan Humane Society hoping to see puppies, but the kennel was almost empty. Tank was there with two other dogs, and the rest were at an adoption event at the Detroit Zoo. Tank was one of the dogs left behind, but regardless of that fact, Stephen saw a bobbed tail and a smart snoot and determined he was the smartest dog and they had to go home with him! He lived up to the name Tank, but unfortunately is a big bumble dumb boy. In 2019, Stephen and Addi found a breeder on a Facebook page who was about to have puppies! They were Australian Shepard and Labrador mixed, and after only having to ask Stephen once, Addi got her puppy. They picked out their favorite and named her Dallas, after the lead singer of one of their favorite bands. She is a beautiful blue merle aussiedor, who is ACTUALLY the smartest dog ever. Dallas came home fully loaded, ready to play fetch whenever anyone would throw anything! Be careful if you come by, she is sneaky and will trick you into playing with her. You won’t realize until it’s too late!
