Our journey began at Olive Garden in 2021, where I may have been a bit too enthusiastic in the kitchen, yelling for food runners. In the midst of a busy shift, he swooped in to help me out, running all my food despite bartending a full section. It was a fun first impression, and like a tale as old as time... he DM'd me on Instagram that same day. Our first date was at Brown Dog Eatery in Carrollton on New Year’s Day, the morning after we rang in the new year with our friends. We shared some delicious duck fat fries and a mimosa—just what we needed to recover from all the whiskey and cokes! It was a perfect start to our adventure together. Just a few days later, Josh surprises me with a note written in chalk all over my parking lot! He stood there with flowers and music asking me to be his girlfriend. We clearly see what the answer was. In April, we packed our bags for a cross-country road trip to California. Along the way, we made some fantastic stops: New Orleans, the Garden of the Gods, Horseshoe Bend, the Grand Canyon, and even a bit of Route 66. Each destination brought laughter, adventure, and many questionable road trip snacks! We spent several months enjoying the California beaches before heading back home in September. On our way, we revisited San Antonio and New Orleans, making new memories while reliving some of our favorites. After settling into our own place, he proposed on November 11, during a cozy weekend at a cabin in the mountains. We had a great time cooking steak and enjoying some wine before he popped the question. It was a beautiful moment, surrounded by nature and just the two of us. Shortly after, we welcomed our puppy, Whiskey, into our lives, adding even more joy to our adventure together. We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding and the next chapter of our lives together. Whether it’s more road trips, cooking adventures, or simply enjoying each other’s company, we’re excited for what’s to come!
