We met when we both joined a sketchy pen pal website in early 2018. I (Haley) wanted to learn Korean, and Chris wanted to improve his English. We quickly formed a friendship and silently pined for one another, thinking no way would the other person feel the same. One night, Chris took a leap of faith and confessed how he felt, and the rest is history. I never learned Korean beyond basic phrases, and Chris still asks me to edit his emails and cover letters, but we found each other and cannot wait to declare this love in front of our friends and family.
