Adams: "It all started with a simple message on Messenger. We had chatted briefly before, but this time, Cindy asked if we could have a proper conversation. I wasn’t sure where it would lead, but her name had come up recently, so I was curious. I was out of town at the time, so I told her I’d call once I got back." Cindy: "I’d heard about Adams from my parents, and after seeing him once during a trip to Bangladesh, I was intrigued. I wasn’t sure if he remembered me, but I decided to reach out anyway. After a few messages, I asked him to call me, and that’s when things really started to unfold." We ended up talking for half an hour and knew we had to meet in person. We decided on California, and after that first meeting, everything just clicked. From then on, we made the time to visit each other as often as we could, and with every visit, we felt more and more connected.
We met for the first time and spent time exploring several places in San Francisco. During that visit, I also had the chance to meet Cindy's family and some of her relatives.
Since 2022, we've spent most of the holidays together.
We’ve visited Yosemite a couple of times, and in the summer of 2023, we took a road trip with Cindy's cousin. Along the way, we explored Lake Shasta, Crater Lake, Lake Cushman, Mount Elinor, and Lake Sutherland in Washington. We've also enjoyed visiting many of the popular tourist spots in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
We love exploring new cuisines and trying different types of food from around the world. Whether it's street food or fine dining, we're always excited to discover new flavors and experiences. So far, Ethiopian cuisine has become a favorite of ours.
