We invite you to dress in celebration of the season and the setting. Our wedding will be Formal—polished, elegant, and garden-party inspired. For Women: Floor-length gowns, midi dresses, or dressy cocktail dresses in soft fabrics like chiffon, silk, or lace. Florals, pastels, and romantic hues are encouraged. Pair with heels or dressy flats suited for small nature paths. For Men: Dark suits and tie or bowtie are just right. Think timeless and refined—no need to go full formal unless you’d like to. Please, no sneakers! Kindly Avoid: White or ivory, so the couple stands out, and please consider the outdoor setting when choosing footwear. Ladies, there is a little bit of sand to walk on! Think of it as dressing for a spring evening in a storybook garden overlooking the cape fear river—elegant, joyful, and a little dreamy. If you have any questions, please ask :)
As much as we would love to include everyone, we are keeping our celebration intimate and are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We kindly ask that you not bring a plus-one unless one was specifically included in your invitation. While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an ADULTS-ONLY occasion. We hope this will be a fun night out for you to relax and enjoy! Thank you so much for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate together!
There will be plenty of parking outside of the River Lodge. You may park anywhere on the paved road leading up to the venue. We will have parking attendants helping direct traffic, as well as golf carts that can help shuttle you from your car to the entrance of the River Lodge (if needed).
The last day to RSVP is April 10th, 2026. This is also the last day you can book a discounted hotel block for the weekend!
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please make sure you arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to park your vehicle and walk to the ceremony site. If you arrive late, you may have to wait to enter the ceremony until after it is finished.
The River Lodge is inside the gated community of River Landing while the Inn is directly beside River Landing's entrance. Because of this, you are able to drive/carpool to each with ease.
Check-in begins at 3pm at the inn. We strongly recommend checking in to your room at the beginning of check-in time so you can get settled and have time to get ready/freshen up before the ceremony begins. Again, the Inn is beside River Landing, not inside the gates, so driving to the venue is necessary!
