We first matched on Hinge in December 2021. After exchanging a few messages, we followed each other on Instagram. Then one day, Adam replied to one of Nicole’s stories with, “Happy birthday to your pops!” That simple message led to more conversations, a first date in February 2022, and eventually, the start of our love story. During our first year together, Adam was living in Oakland and Nicole was in Castro Valley. We spent a lot of time going back and forth between the two. Most weeks, one of us was living out of a duffel bag while we figured out how to blend our lives together. By the time Adam’s lease was up, we felt so sure about each other that moving to the suburbs felt like the natural next step. Now, four years and one little poodle named Penny later, here we are. We feel so grateful to have found love in each other, and just as grateful for the closeness we’ve built with each other’s families and friends. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of you!
