It wasn't love at first sight. Neither his roguish charm nor her enchanting beauty took immediate effect on the other. Rather, Lauren and Adam met while working in a “law apartment” in a sleepy corner of DC. They got to know one another slowly, over lunches and work-breaks. She became… curious. Why was he always singing? Who are the Corona Cutters? Despite his public melodies and possible gang affiliation, she decided that she liked his sense of humor, his positive attitude, and his openness. He, in turn, was attracted to her worldly sophistication and her persistence at resisting his subtle advances. Then, one summer day in 2011, Adam discovered the key that would unlock Lauren’s heart. He invited her over to deep fry Oreos, and, due to her proclivity for foods of the chocolate and fried varieties, Lauren found herself overwhelmed with passion and simply could not resist. It was love at first bite.
Adam whisked Lauren away for a romantic weekend. The surprise was blown early, he later learned, when he elected to leave the whiskey at home and bring only wine. They spent the day hiking in West Virginia, famous for its plush woodlands and thick mud. After a well-needed shower and change of shoes, they drove on the curviest “road” in the world, to the highest point in West Virginia, Spruce Knob Observation tower. Atop the tower, and underneath a moonlit and starry sky, Adam proposed-- and now they want you to celebrate with them!
