FAQs

We can’t wait to spend this day surrounded by our favorite people. To make your planning easy, we’ve gathered answers to some of the most common questions below. If we missed anything or you have a question we didn’t cover, feel free to reach out to us directly. We’re counting down the days and can’t wait to see you in Bernville!
Question

Wondering why our save the date doesn't have our faces on it?

Answer

Kira's late grandmother, Irene, was known for her state fair award winning water colors. We wanted to honor and celebrate her by including her passion in our special day.

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both take place at Reinhart’s Barn on Oak Lane (326 Oak Ln, Bernville, PA 19506) on Friday, October 30th 2026. The ceremony starts at 3:00 PM, so please arrive by 2:45 PM to ensure you have the best seat in the house. The ceremony will be followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing until 10:00 PM. Everything will be in one place—no need to drive between venues!

Question

Travel & Lodging

Answer

Airports: The nearest major airport is Harrisburg International (MDT), about an hour away. Philadelphia International (PHL) is another option, roughly two hours from Bernville. Hotels: We recommend staying near Reading or Bernville, where there are several cozy hotels and B&Bs. We’ll add a few of our favorites and any hotel block info on the Travel page soon. Transportation: There’s plenty of parking on-site at Reinhart’s Barn. Rideshares (Uber/Lyft) are limited in this rural area, so we recommend carpooling if possible. Parking: Parking is free and steps away from the barn—no shuttles required.

Question

Dress Code

Answer

Dressy-casual or semi-formal works perfectly for our barn setting! Think dresses, jumpsuits, dress shirts, slacks, or anything you can dance comfortably in. The barn and grounds are rustic with gravel walkways, so we recommend block heels or flats instead of stilettos.

Question

RSVP & Plus Ones

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2026 through our wedding website. We’ve worked hard to keep things cozy and personal, so only the guests listed on your invitation are invited. If you’re unsure about a plus-one or we missed someone, reach out—we’re happy to clarify!

Question

Kids Policy

Answer

Kids are absolutely welcome! The wedding will be family-friendly and we’ll have plenty to keep little ones entertained. The venue is a Christmas tree farm, so guests (big and small!) can visit friendly goats, pigs, and highland cows nearby. We’re also putting together a custom activity book to keep kids busy and having fun during dinner and speeches. We just ask that children stay supervised around the animals and outdoor areas.

Question

Gifts or Registry Info

Answer

Your presence truly means the most to us! If you’d like to give something, we’ve put together some options on the Registry page of the website. We are also moving for Kira's internship a few months after the wedding, so if you would prefer, feel free to contribute to our moving fund to help us in the next chapter of our life.

Question

Accessibility

Answer

The barn and outdoor spaces are wheelchair accessible, and accessible restrooms are on-site. Our celebration will take place both indoors and outdoors, so we recommend bringing a light layer just in case. The barn is heated and cooled, but fall evenings in Bernville can get chilly! There will also be access to a golf cart to assist anyone that needs a ride to the grove for the ceremony.

Question

Photography & Phones

Answer

We’re hiring an amazing photographer to capture all the moments, big and small. During the ceremony, we kindly ask that phones and cameras stay tucked away so everyone can be fully present. Once the party starts, go wild—take photos, share memories, and don’t forget to send them to us!

Question

Knoebels

Answer

The day after the wedding, we’ll be heading to Knoebels for a relaxed, laughter-filled group outing. Everyone is welcome to join! Knoebels is free to enter and ride tickets or bracelets can be purchased We will be reserving a space to meet and eat during the day.

Question

Our Dogs

Answer

Bear and Sylvie will be joining us for the ceremony—they’re part of the family and couldn’t miss the big day! They love people and attention, but please don’t feed them any snacks or table food, no matter how cute the begging eyes may be. We’ll have a designated handler keeping an eye on them throughout the event so they can safely enjoy their time and greet guests during the celebration.
