Family & friends! Happy 2021! We hope everyone is well. Thank you for sticking with us and our decision to postpone the wedding from 2020 to 2021. Our decision was due to not only state mandated covid restrictions, but also because we wanted everyone to feel safe and enjoy being together! Our hope is that on September 25, 2021, we can all gather safely and celebrate together.
First comes love, then comes a baby, then comes a house, then comes marriage. Not the ‘typical, cookie cutter’ timeline of events, but its OUR timeline. And together, weve built a life that we love. Our journey began in Fayetteville, NC where I had been living and working in Nuclear Medicine since 2005. Adam was at Methodist University for his doctorate in physical therapy. Little did he know he would leave NC with his doctorate AND me :) We’ve lived together in NC, loved on all our doggies, had a baby, dated long distance ( I still lived & worked in NC while he finished clinical rotations in PA & VA), moved twice, bought a house... and... loved and supported each other every step of the way! Each new milestone has been exciting & very much rewarding so far! Every day is filled with laughs & lots of love... and that’s all that matters at the end of the day ❤️
Adam had carefully (sneakily) enlisted the help of one my best friends and designed the most perfect “Jessica” type of engagement ring. On 8/3/2019 we celebrated my parents 46th wedding anniversary at dinner that evening. When we got back to our house I had asked Adam in a jokingly way: “FORTY SIX years?! Can you imagine 46 years with me?” And as I was walking out of the kitchen, he tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to him down on one knee, with the ring, saying “I couldn’t imagine 46 years with anyone else”. I think I cried first.. then said yes.. then cried more.
