We have made a difficult decision to cancel our wedding reception. Although this was heartbreaking, the health and safety of our guests is our priority. A wedding reception can always be rescheduled and this is what we have decided to do. Things are changing rapidly and there is so much unknown regarding COVID-19. With that being said, we will still be getting married on October 2, 2020. We are beyond excited and hope to potentially do a drive-by as we would still love to celebrate with all of our guests! We will provide more details on this in the weeks to come. Although this is not how we imagined our wedding day, we hope to celebrate with you in 2021! In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy. On October 27th, 2019 Edgar proposed to Ali in South Lake Tahoe. The story is definitely not that simple! Edgar took Ali on a vacation with his parents Edgar and Emma, his sister Neydy and her husband Miguel. Once the family arrived to Lake Tahoe, Neydy told Edgar and Ali that she had a surprise for them. In order to get ready Neydy brought Edgar a new suit and insisted that Ali curl her hair, do her makeup, and wear a beautiful dress. Ali was so convinced that Neydy was pregnant and thought she was going to reveal her pregnancy to her whole family (P.S. Neydy is not pregnant.) Ali told Edgar her suspicions and of course he played along with it. An hour later everyone is finally ready. Neydy then called Edgar and Ali to blindfold them. Little did Ali know that Edgar had already removed his blindfold seconds after she was blindfolded. The couple walks upstairs and is taken outside to the patio overlooking Lake Tahoe. Neydy then asked Ali to take off her blindfold. Then Ali sees Edgar standing in front of her with a ring! She immediately was overcome with tears of joy as her friends and family watched this moment unfold. Then Edgar got down on one knee, asked her to marry him, and she said YES! Ali then turns around and sees her whole family and her best friend who flew out for the proposal, standing behind the windows! But Edgar still had another surprise for Ali. Edgar flew Ali's favorite photographer from Illinois all the way to Lake Tahoe to capture such a special moment.
