Tamra and Adam’s story begins in August 2021 on Bumble. They talked through the app for two days before Adam gave Tamra the wrong number and thought he got ghosted. Their first date was at the Blind Pig near Tamra’s apartment, but on a picnic bench outside because, well, covid first dates. Adam knew she was the one when she walked up to the table in her blue dress, yelling at her mother on the phone (something that still happens to this day). Tamra and Adam continue to debate if the walk they went on the very next day was their second date or not, but shortly after, Tamra traveled home to Massachusetts for 10 days, where she volunteered to walk the dog just to talk to Adam on the phone. Adam moved out of his studio apartment with the lofted bed and single sink. Tamra got a new job. They were onto bigger and better things. Adam learned quickly that a hungry Tamra is not an agreeable one, so he asked Tamra to be his girlfriend after stuffing her with Veselka pierogies. Although she misses having a city apartment, Adam joined Tamra in suburbia in September of 2022. With a lower rent and commute time, Tamra and Adam began to build their little home in White Plains. Adam proposed on a Wednesday night in June with rose petals, candles, and Ben Rector’s “Love Like This” playing.
