Burden Gardens consists of the wedding venue, a Louisiana rural life museum, and walking trails. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier to check out the museum or walking trails. If you plan to do so, bring an extra pair of comfortable shoes!

Rural Life Museum at Burden Gardens

The LSU Rural Life Museum transports you back to 19th century Louisiana. The museum offers an immense collection of artifacts from farms, plantations and households and features more than 30 historic buildings.
Walking Trails at Burden Gardens
The LSU Botanic Gardens is an expansive collection of gardens, woodlands, wetlands and arboreta. The Walking Trails offers five miles of paths through the Burden Woods.
