If you’re a fan of architecture and beauty, you can visit some beautiful modernist masterpieces like the Casa Battló, La Pedrera, the Hospital Sant Pau and of course La Sagrada Familia! Tip: Get tickets in advance, as these tend to be very busy and sell out on the day.
More of a beachy vibe? Early September is still pretty warm in Barcelona, and you can enjoy a nice dip in the sea to refresh. We recommend Bogatell or Nova Icaria beaches, favorite among the locals.
And if you don’t have any preferences or plans, just go out for a walk! Barcelona is beautiful and we love to stroll her streets and just soak in the vibes. Be careful of your belongings, for all it’s beauty, Barcelona is also Europe’s pickpocket capital.
The Costa Brava offers some incredible beaches and coves, think crystalline turquoise waters nestled among jagged rocky cliffs. There are beautiful medieval towns sprinkled all around the area, where you’ll truly experience the heart of Catalunya. Here are some of our favorite spots: * Girona: this picturesque town was featured in Game of Thrones! Wander the medieval streets and walk the city wall to enjoy the view over the countryside. * Tossa de Mar: a beautiful, small beach town characterized by a stunning fort overlooking the sea. * Begur: another cute village, don’t miss Cala Sa Tuna and Platja Fonda! * Peratallada: an amazing medieval town, you’ll fall in love with it’s cobbled streets and traditional stone houses. * Cadaqués: this beautiful village was home to and inspiration for Salvador Dalí, truly a place to relax and take in the mediterranean lifestyle
