Our greatest adventure yet!

We met 7 years ago at the restaurant, Black and Blue. Adam came into the restaurant with his Uncle Bobby on Shelly's birthday while Rasheeda was bartending. We all went out for drinks after to celebrate Shelly's birthday. We were quick to realize we shared similar interests, including our passion for adventure, outdoors, helping others, and most importantly, the importance of our families. Over the past few years, we have spent our time traveling the world together while investing our time transforming a fixer upper into our dream home! We are excited to share this next adventure with you!

It is no secret that we like to travel a lot and explore new parts of the world as much as we can. Part of our adventuring spirit comes from Rasheeda’s late father, Paul, who had so many interesting and funny stories that he shared over the years. Paul’s love of sunsets was well known and one of the greatest places for a sunset is Santorini Greece. During our travel planning phase for our trips the itinerary makes numerous. We eventually choose Greece and Turkey with Rasheeda’s sister Nicole and her family. During the planning for the trip Adam was also planning for a proposal. Adam visited family friend Ben and picked out a ring placing it under a pseudonym in attempts to keep the secret in place until the right time. With adventuring thru Turkey prior to visiting Greece it was a challenging task to keep the ring safe, secure, and hidden while exploring the rich culture and historical monuments for five days. After completing our time in Turkey we arrived in Greece and met Nicole, Joe, and family in Santorini. Seeing the breathtaking blue skies, white houses, and mountain views from our Villa was amazing. After a long day or traveling it was time to present the ring. Adam and Nicole picked out a restaurant in advance right along the water with a breathtaking view of the sunset that Rasheeda would love. With Rasheeda tired from a long day of traveling and not knowing of the proposal to come it took a little convincing to get her to go to the restaurant and dress up a little bit because it was a nice restaurant. We got to the restaurant and settled into our seats and took some pictures of the beautiful view. Rasheeda was a bit surprised when Adam asked her for one more picture before ordering but went along with it. While Rasheeda was getting ready for the picture Adam took the ring out of his pocket and presented it to her. While the sun setting in the background Rasheeda accepted Adam’s proposal and a celebratory bottle of Champagne was enjoyed.
