My friend told me one day, sophomore year of highschool, that this boy wanted my number to take me to homecoming. I had no idea who he was so I told her to point him out to me at lunch. Lunch comes around and when I turn around to see who he is, I see him staring at me while eating his chicken nugget. I thought it was kind of odd, but it was hard for me to say no. We started dating a month later when Adam could finally drive because he refused to ask me out when he couldn't even drive me around. We dated all through highschool and college together and figured 5 years was finally enough.
Adam texted me late that evening right before I got off work to come to the farm because he was going to check cows. No big deal, that was nothing out of the ordinary. I get there and Adam is waiting in the truck for me which is kind of odd because he would've normally went on without me. Anyway, we drive around the field checking on each of the cows and he tops the hill where he parks it and asks me to get out for a second. It was then that I knew he was finally proposing. We were both so nervous but so excited because we waited on this for nearly 5 years, along with everyone else. (;
