99th Goshen Fair Labor Day Weekend
Offered by The Goshen Agricultural Society, the event will run for the three days of Labor Day weekend, continuing on Saturday until 8 pm, Sunday from 8 am until 8 pm, and Monday, September 5, 8 am to 6 pm. The fair will offer exhibits of arts and crafts, photography, needlework of all kinds, bakery, flowers, fruits and vegetables, canning and a childrenâ. Animals to be shown include dairy and beef cattle, goats, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits and draught animals. New this year will be pig races and llamas, too. The fairgrounds are on at 116 Old Middle Street (Route 63 South) in Goshen. Admission is $8 for adults, free for ages 12 and under. Senior citizens will be admitted for $5 on Saturday. Free parking all weekend.
Historic Festival 40
Celebrating its 40th year, the Lime Rock Historic Festival launches into action over Labor Day weekend with a 17-mile tour through the area with Thursday’s Vintage Race Car and Sports Car Parade. Friday, Saturday and Monday feature non-stop, on-track competition across a diverse set of historic racing classes. The featured racing class this year will be Historic Trans Am. Lime Rock Park Main Spectator Entrance 60 White Hollow Road Lakeville, CT 06039 Located in the Northwest Hills of Connecticut, Lime Rock Park not only provides a picturesque location for race fans to enjoy, but it’s easy to get to as well. The Park is located between Boston and New York City and is easy to access from all points in the Northeast.
