Adam and Marianna met in Chemistry 301, their first class of their first day of their freshman year of college. Like two volatile but compatible compounds, they bonded instantly. They were so inseparable that out of a room of 400+ students, their professor noticed when one of them was missing and asked, “Where’s your other half?” Now, nearly eleven years later, they’ve been together so long that it’s hard to summarize it all on one page. Adam jokes this wedding is just a big tenth-anniversary party (he’s just running a year late). In college, they went from cooking in a disgusting college dorm kitchen and squeezing onto a twin dorm bed, to running through the rain and grilling steak and potatoes out on the communal apartment grills. They helped each other move at least a dozen times (RIP Honda Odyssey, you served us well). They studied together, played together, and partied together. They even rehabilitated Marianna’s dog, Spice, together when she herniated a disk and was paralyzed (twice). When Adam studied abroad they pre-wrote each other love letters and sent Tiff’s Treats and Blue Bell across the ocean for Valentine’s Day. When Marianna moved to Louisiana, they drove for hours every other week to share some little part of the world together. When Adam graduated, they went on their first trip together abroad. And when they got back, they (finally) moved in together. In that apartment over the treetops, they helped each other navigate their daunting post-college lives and careers. They had to adjust to the shared life, the shared space, and the shared work of it all. They hiked and camped often. They continued to travel. And then, perhaps doing things a little backward, they combined their finances and, with the help of both of their parents, bought a house together. Then they adopted an insane(ly lovable) pitbull and worked to build a home together. They began “collecting” national parks and dreaming of a camper, arguing about home decor and their first “family” car (still taking suggestions). Adam and Marianna already experienced so much together and shared so many loving, beautiful moments. They always worked to grow and support one another, becoming better people and better partners. And now they’re ready to share the rest of their lives. To have a family together. To pull back the curtain for a moment, we’re so excited to be able to share the dawn of this new era with everyone! Can’t wait to see you all there. Love, Adam and Marianna
