FAQs

We’ve gathered thoughtful details on travel, attire, and the celebration to ensure your experience in Pittsburgh is seamless.
Question

Travel and Arrival

Answer

Travel and Arrival? Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is about 19 miles (30 minutes by car) from the Duquesne Club downtown. What is the best way to get around Pittsburgh? Downtown is walkable and rideshares (Uber/Lyft) are readily available. Shuttles will also be provided for wedding events. Transportation? To keep things simple, we’ll provide shuttle service between our hotels and venues. Schedules will be posted on the site closer to the wedding.

Question

Attire and Weather

Answer

Attire The dress code is Black Tie Preferred. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a tuxedo, though a dark suit and tie are also appropriate. Ladies may wear a full-length gown or an elegant cocktail dress. Formal attire is highly encouraged to match the evening’s setting, but guests are welcome to choose what makes them feel most comfortable within this range. Please keep in mind the wedding is in January, so we recommend formal evening wear suitable for a winter celebration. What are the weather conditions in Pittsburgh? January in Pittsburgh is cold, typically in the 20s–30s °F, with the possibility of snow. Please pack for winter weather and allow extra time for travel. All events will be indoors, but we recommend coats, scarves, and warm shoes for comfort when moving between venues. Shuttles will be available, and once inside, the venues will be cozy and warm.

Question

Guests and Plus-Ones

Answer

Question

Free Time and Exploring

Answer

What can we do during our free time? Downtown Pittsburgh offers plenty to explore — from Point State Park and the Strip District to Market Square. See our Things to Do section for recommendations.

Question

Additional Details

Answer

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors? Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors. You won’t need to worry about the January weather once inside — everything will be warm and comfortable. What time should I arrive for the ceremony? The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes early to allow time for seating. Where should I park? We encourage guests to use our hotel shuttles or rideshare services. If you are driving, parking details will be provided closer to the wedding date.
