Lauren met Adam on his front porch in Gasquet in 2014, she was playing guitar and singing with some of his friends. A few weeks later they went on a four day Rogue River trip together. Adam was enamored with Lauren from the beginning but the time was not right. They remained friends until early summer of 2020 when they began to fall in love. On their first date during those early Covid days they shared Mexican food from a local food truck and walked to the confluence of the Middle Fork and North Fork Smith very close to where they now live. Adam put his arm around Lauren and she leaned in, listening to rhythm of his heartbeat while they watched the river flow. Lauren felt at home in Adam's arms and has been manipulating Adam into loving her every day since!
