We both swiped right! We first matched online in February of 2019. Shortly after matching and conversations, Adam and Laura planned to meet in Mystic, CT for dinner and drinks. However, at the time Laura was traveling a lot for work and felt she wasn't in the right state of mind to date. She then politely and sincerely rain checked their first date... a full year. During this year, COVID hit and Laura rescued her puppy, Junebug! Adam, genuinely believing her reasoning to cancel their first date, persistently messaged Laura always commenting how cute Junebug was, leaving a lasting impression. Fast forward to Valentine's Day 2020, Laura was enjoying a wine tasting night with girlfriends. After some encouragement from the girls (and some wine), she built the confidence to reach back out to Adam about that rain check. He replied back, "Is this Junebug's Mom?" and the plans were set in motion. They finally had their first date on February 23rd over margaritas and tacos at Fresca in Colchester, CT. A full circle moment because this is the town where they now live together, and continue to celebrate anniversaries at the place where they first met. We are so excited this is only the beginning of our story, and can't wait to celebrate with all our family and friends this March!
