Getting Around

August 9, 2022 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Depending on the duration of your stay and plans while you are here, renting a vehicle will not be necessary. The Portland area has excellent public transportation to get you from the airport to your hotel and around town. The MAX Train picks you up directly outside of the airport and will drop you off at the hotel. Uber or Lyft are also easy ways to get around without a vehicle. We will rent a van in order to have a shuttle service available. The shuttle will take you from the hotel to the venue and back again. We may even have them available for an adventure or two before the wedding, but we'll finalize that later.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Express

5900 NE Ray Cir
Hillsboro, Oregon 97124
 +1 503-844-9696

Close to MAX Train and venue. Far from Airport. 30min from city center. Shuttle will take from this hotel to and from venue. For those wishing to stay in a hotel instead of camp the night of the wedding, this is the one. Great spot to swing over to the Oregon coast (1 hour) if you have a vehicle. OK hotel if you wish to explore Portland, but a car is recommended. Look at Heathman Hotel for a nice spot in the city. You will NOT need to rent a car for adventures if staying downtown.

Located in the heart of downtown, moments walk from the MAX Train, the Heathman Hotel is an excellent option for those who wish to explore Portland and not rent a vehicle.

Camping!

Hornings Hideout
North Plains, Oregon

Camping, for a wedding? Yes! It's free (mostly) and it's fun. Adam and Laura share a love for nature and the outdoors. Oregon is a place of great natural beauty and we're excited to share it with you. Hornings Hideout is a beautiful plot of land that both Adam and Laura love. Used for concerts, disc golf, camping, and now, our wedding. Locals - bring your tent and whatever gear you'll need for a comfortable day/ night Travelers- Don't worry, you don't have to travel with all your camping gear if it's too much. We've got you covered. Tell us how many people you're going to camp with and we'll go pick up the essentials; Sleeping bag, tent, pillow, sleeping pad. We'll set everything up, have someone at the camping area to greet you and show you to your tent for the night. After the wedding, pack up the gear you've bought and take it home. If you chose to leave your equipment with us, it will be donated to help the local unhoused population.
