Our Bridal Party

Emily LaRenzie

Matron of Honor

Our friendship began during sorority recruitment when we (against the rules) pref-ed our houses together, not realizing that choice would lead to a lifelong bond. As sorority sisters, we shared countless memories — late-night study sessions (Chem 177, yikes!), required parade float hours over at Delts, and bartender Emily’s terrible but cheap Martini Wednesday’s at Sips. Even after graduation, our paths stayed closely connected, first in North Carolina and then in Minnesota, where our friendship only grew stronger. We’ve supported each other through every new chapter, and now, having her as my matron of honor feels like a celebration of all we’ve experienced together.

Corey Shores

Best Man

Corey and I met as pledge brothers in Sigma Nu at UNC, and we’ve been close ever since. From late nights in Chapel Hill to adventures in Raleigh, Charleston, Hilton Head, and Wilmington, he’s been a loyal friend who always keeps the good times rolling. We even won “Bromance of the Year” back in college—and honestly, we’ve been living up to the title ever since.

Kelsey Bickert

Bridesmaid

Kelsey and I met in college where we both studied animal science and were sorority sisters. We bonded over late-night study sessions, chapter events, and discovering Ames’ best coffee shops— RIP Lorries. After graduation, our paths crossed again when we both found ourselves living in California—me for a brief stint and her more permanently. Despite the distance now, I still love visiting her on the West Coast, where we reminisce about our college days and catch up on life. Our shared love for animals and the sisterhood we built keeps our friendship strong, no matter where life takes us.

Nick Troxell

Groomsman

Nick and I grew up in the same neighborhood and somehow made it through every level of school together—even ending up in the same fraternity in college. We’ve shared more adventures than I can count, and he’s hands down the most spontaneous, up-for-anything person I know. Whether it’s a last-minute concert, a random trip, or just a weekend hangout, I can always count on Nick to make it happen.

Chelsea Heatherington

Bridesmaid

On bid day, I met Chelsea as we were going around the initial circle of introductions into Tri-Delta. We were both surprised when both announced we were from “Monticello.” It felt a little ironic— meeting miles away from home, only to discover we shared the same small town roots. While Chelsea continues to live in Iowa, we remain connected by our ties to the agriculture community (she works in farm insurance and her husband farms) and our annual sorority sister getaways.

Landon Wiggs

Groomsman

Landon and I go way back—we met playing hockey at JellyBeans roller skating rink when we were ten and have been friends ever since. We grew up on the same hockey teams, spent countless spring breaks together, and shared unforgettable trips to the beach and lake. I’ve always felt like part of his family, and to this day, he’s still the best (and funniest) storyteller I know.
