Alyssa is the bride’s cousin and lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Sam and two boys, Reid and Chase. Growing up, strangers would mistake Alyssa and Kate for sisters (which Kate always enjoyed). Josh and Adam met sophomore in college through the AE program at Penn State. Although they lost touch after college, their friendship rekindled when Josh joined Adam's place of work texting, "I heard you work for DPR in Reston. I start Monday." Kate met Liana at Penn State in Spring 2013 when the two ran into each other on the HUB lawn. They became close friends and spent the next three years wreaking havoc in Happy Valley - just kidding, they served together in student government (Liana was the president).
