We're Getting Married!!

We met at a summer mission trip in California in 2022 through our college campuses that were across the country from each other (Oregon State and Greenville Tech). During this 9 week summer mission trip, we spent time getting to grow closer in a our relationship with Christ and since we worked at the same job at a marina during this time, we spent some time getting to know one another and develop a friendship. After we had spent over 8 weeks at this summer mission trip and we were toward the end of the mission trip, Adam told Johanna that he liked her but didn't know how they were going to make it work living across the country. We also wanted to be wise about our decision to pursue a relationship, so we both asked people closest to us on the mission trip if we would be good together or if there were any blindspots we weren't seeing about our compatibility. After hearing a good word from the people we asked, Adam developed a plan to ask Johanna out after the mission trip ended. When we traveled down Highway 1 with friends after the mission trip, we stopped in San Luis Obispo to have our first date. We then spent the next couple days in the happiest place on earth with our friends making memories. On our last night before Adam's departure back across the country, he took Johanna to Newport beach in California to walk next to the Pacific Ocean one last time before he left. As we walked down the beach, Adam played "Check Yes or No" by George Strait. When the main melody began, Adam brought out a piece of paper saying "Would you be my girlfriend? Yes or Yes" with check boxes next to it. Of course Johanna said yes!
