It is with hearts full of love that we share the wonderful news of our engagement! Our journey together began amidst the bustling charm of Fairfax when fate led me to my first locums NP job. Little did we know, it would be the start of a beautiful love story. One memorable night, a group of friends went out for dinner, and amidst the laughter (and don't forget tacos), Adam was conspicuously absent. I was under the impression he would be in attendance and strategically seated myself in a way that left me next to the open seat he was supposed to occupy. I found out from one of our coworkers he wasn't going to come out and teasingly, I sent him a text, gently chiding him for missing out on the festivities. And so, our connection began, sparked by a simple message that would grow into something neither of us expected. When we finally found time to get together, the hours slipped away like sand through our fingers. We talked endlessly of our dreams, aspirations, and shared passions. Among these passions, we discovered our mutual love for good food, fishing, and the great outdoors, a passion that would take us on an unforgettable trip a little over 2 years later. In the golden embrace of autumn, we ventured out on a fly fishing expedition to the picturesque landscapes of Montana. On our second day of fishing our guide mentioned the PR person for the ranch would be out taking pictures and we may come across him while going about our day. Thinking nothing of it, we went about our day floating down the Madison River, catching brown and rainbow trout with the biggest of grins on our faces. As we pulled up to the take out spot, the photographer was standing along the bank taking photos of us as we came in. He introduced himself, asked us to walk across the river to a rocky peninsula and throw a few casts out for him to capture. Standing in front of Adam, and doing my best not to fall into the river, I gently cast my fly out into the rushing water. Eventually the photographer told me to hand my fishing rod to Adam and I turned to find Adam with the biggest smile on his face. He said to me: "Guess what?! It's happening!" With the sun casting a warm, amber glow upon us, he got down on one knee (without falling into the river!) and asked me to be his wife. Now, as we stand on the threshold of forever, we are overflowing with gratitude and happiness. We are thrilled to invite each and every one of you to join us on our wedding day. Your presence will make our joy complete, and your blessings will be the foundation upon which our life together is built. With hearts full of love, Jess & Adam
