We met in high school in Flushing, Queens, NY, where we both attended John Bowne. We were introduced through mutual friends, and although life had us going in different directions, our chemistry always brought us closer. Even back then, we had a quiet connection — passing letters, sharing inside jokes, exchanging glances in the hallway. I had a boyfriend at the time, so Adam and I remained friends, but deep down we both felt something meaningful growing between us. Life took us on separate journeys. I married and started my family, and years later — after my first marriage ended — Adam and I reconnected on MySpace. I had moved to Pennsylvania with my two children, and he lived nearby. We rebuilt a friendship and something beautiful began to blossom. But timing wasn’t on our side. Between moving from PA to Reading and back to Queens, we couldn’t seem to align our lives, no matter how strong the connection felt. For the next 15 years, we would come in and out of each other’s lives — always feeling drawn to one another, always feeling unfinished, yet never quite in the right season. But deep in my heart, I knew we were meant for more. Finally, in August 2024, life gave us the second chance we’d been waiting for. I left Atlanta and returned to North Carolina to be closer to my adult children and to start a new chapter with a different mindset. After being off social media for months, I happened to check my messages… and there was one from Adam. He told me he had been trying to reach me, that he was in North Carolina, and that he wanted to see me. I’ll never forget our first moment together after all those years — it felt right, peaceful, familiar, and safe. It felt like coming home. We were older, wiser, healed, and finally ready for what God always meant for us to have. Adam and I dated for eight beautiful months before we made it official on May 27, 2025. Now here we are, planning the wedding of our dreams, with love since our teens— but with grown hearts, real love, and a blended family that means everything to us. We are best friends. We are lovers. We are each other’s answered prayers. And after all these years, we finally get to say forever. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with you.
