So, to start off, for those who are not aware of what Tinder is, it is a dating app. I (Ileana) moved to Dallas with my sister to become more independent and eventually find my own place. Adam was still working on his last semester for his Master's degree in Architecture in Lubbock and graduated in December 2016 from Texas Tech University. He then moved to Dallas on New Year's Eve. January comes along, and we ended up super liking each other on the app. Adam told me the way I caught his attention was because he saw my UTEP shirt so he went back on his bio and edited it that he was also from El Paso. What are the odds of meeting someone from your hometown in a big city like Dallas?! What makes things even more interesting is that Adam also grew up around the same area where my grandparents live. We decided to meet up in person around mid-January. I told him about this sushi place I wanted to try and I sent him the location closest to his area. Little did I know there were two locations and I wasn't paying attention to the GPS navigation and ended up taking me to the furthest location. For a moment I thought he had ghosted me, and Adam thought the same thing that I had left him hanging. When he had called me to say he was at the restaurant, that's when we realized we were in different locations. Adam told me to stay put and drove down to the other side of town to meet me. We started dating soon after and the rest is history. The End! <3
