*Java on Fourth - Our favorite coffee shop right in downtown Ketchum! The BEST freshly baked pastries. Relaxed, inviting coffeehouse offering American breakfast & lunch fare, including bagels & salads. *Hailey Coffee Co. - Hilary's parent's favorite coffee shop. Also right in downtown Ketchum, off of Sun Valley Road. Coffees are fresh roasted in Hailey and baked goods are served fresh from the oven.

*The Konditorei - Right in Sun Valley Village, the Austrian-inspired Konditorei warms you by the fire with fresh-baked pastries, locally roasted, fair trade and organic coffees, and the kind of Old World hot cocoa that’s equal parts steamed milk and melted dark chocolate. And if you’re seeking something beyond continental café fare, Konditorei offers classic dishes to bring you to an alpine state of mind in the chalet-inspired dining room. *Wildflour Bakery - Small team of fabulous bakers genuinely invested in the quality of their handmade, small-batch cookies, muffins, scones, breads, coffee cakes, and a variety of specialty items. Also serves the BEST sandwiches and salads for lunch. Hilary & Adam's favorite. *The Kneadery - One of the best brunch spots in downtown Ketchum! Right off of Sun Valley road. Expect a wait for more than an hour, but it goes by quickly.
Dinner Spots
*The Pioneer Saloon - We consider this THE go-to spot. A real Western steakhouse famous for their prime rib. *Village Station - Located in the Sun Valley village, this is a Sargent favorite! The train station-inspired décor pays tribute to Sun Valley’s history as an early destination on the Union Pacific railroad line. *Michel's Christiania - A staple restaurant in Sun Valley, Ernest Hemingway came here so frequently he had his own table. Classic French fare in a casual space. *The Grill at Knob Hill - Located in the charming Knob Hill Inn, serving a Northwest Rocky Mountain influenced menu with a variety of American and European classics. *Enoteca - Trendy Italian right on Main St. (think Postino, but way better). Takes reservations and books early! *The Duchin - Located in the Sun Valley Lodge, chic mountain vibes. *Barrio 75 - Offers a creative take on a Mexican food! *Vintage - Quaint cabin eatery serving local, seasonal American fare in a rustic atmosphere.
Where to Drink
*Whiskey Jacques' - The best bar for dancing and games. *The Cellar - Another local favorite for the late night scene. *The Casino - Open since the 1920s, The Casino is the best dive bar, located on Main Street with cheap drinks, pool tables, and lots of locals. *Warfield's Distillery - Distillery on Main Street with an awesome rooftop bar. The best views of Baldy in town! *Grumpy's - Historic, local burger joint near downtown Ketchum. Burgers, fries, GIANT scooners of beer and sassy bartenders. *Sun Valley Wine Company - Fabulous wine bar located right in downtown Ketchum!
Fast Casual Options
*Wise Guy's Pizza - Easy, quick pizza by the slice, right across the street from Starbucks. *Ketchum Burrito - Best burritos in town! Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Hiking
Our favorite local hikes close to town (in order of difficulty): Adams Gulch Loop, White Clouds Loop (very convenient for those staying at the lodge / inn), Fox Creek Loop, Proctor Mountain and Bald Mountain, Summit Creek and Pioneer Cabin (for the very ambitious friends - 4-5 hours round trip).
