FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We suggest that you wear a nice shirt, jeans, and jacket because you will be in the mountains and woods. The temperature can vary drastically from Denver to the lake. When we visited the temperature changed by nearly 30 degrees from the hotel to the wedding ceremony location.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

As the ceremony is underway, we ask that your phones be put away as we want you to enjoy the moment as short as it will be. We have hired a professional photographer. We spent a lot of time finding the right photographer because that was extremely important to us! Please leave the photography up to her! Thank you in advance!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

This is an outdoor wedding that will happen regardless of weather conditions.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

We are getting married at a mountain lakeside (10,300 ft). The weather at your hotel vs. the weather at the lake may be vastly different. We recommend bringing a jacket because the tempature could be in the 30s.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive thirty minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the ceremony started as scheduled! The ceremony will start as scheduled if you are not on time.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While originally we said this was going to be an adult-only event, things have changed because our venue holds more people than the other locations we were originally planning. Please feel free to bring your child(ren). However, please understand that this is an important day for us and if your child(ren) can not maintain a calm demeanor for 30-45 minutes during the ceremony, we ask that they do not attend.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, we will be taking pictures nearby for a few minutes. Then at roughly 7:30 there will be a few family photos. Next, the couple will hike to another lake for a few photos for about an hour. We recommend that if you are planning on driving or flying home the same day that you drive back to where you are staying to gather your belongings. If that is not your plan, you can hike the area or enjoy the scenery. You can also see the things to do page. Brunch is expected to start at 10:30 am.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes. We have a block of discounted rooms at The Boulder Creek Lodge in Nederland, CO (https://www.thebouldercreeklodge.com). You can call them at 303-258-9463 to book a room. Tell them you are with the Pursche Keske Wedding! The Lodge is about 30 minutes from the wedding site. If you want to stay someplace with more night life options, Boulder is 45 minutes away from the wedding site, Denver is an hour to hour and a half, Estes Park is 45 minutes away.

Question

Is there a reception?

Answer

Not officially. There will be a brunch following the wedding but it is not a formal reception.

Question

Will there be a dance?

Answer

No, we want a small intimate wedding. There is plans to have an informal brunch to follow.

Question

Will there be a gift table set up for me to drop off my gift?

Answer

No. Please take a look at our registry here. Gifts can be sent directly to the Bride and Groom's home. We have a lot of the things we need already. Thus, monetary gifts are greatly appreciated to contribute to our honeymoon.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Is the wedding site handicap accessable?

Answer

Yes and no. The site is about 50 feet off the side of a road. The parking lot and road are paved. We will be married on a lake shore which is a river rock style beach. If in a wheelchair you can easily get to the start of the beach and it is possible we can help you closer to the location. If you have more questions please give Adam a call and we can discuss options.

Question

Where at the lake will the wedding be?

Answer

On the north side of the lake. Just look for the giant rock and you can not miss it.
