Silver Bay YMCA offers day and week passes that we absolutely recommend. The passes will allow you to access the boat house for sailing and kayaking, countless trails for hiking, the archery field, and beaches for swimming. If you are staying at Silver Bay, you will receive a pass with your lodging!

Our go-to spot to rent a boat for the day. Grab a boat and head to Huletts Landing (HL) to pick out an island for a picnic lunch. Snug Harbor can direct you to HL.
Fort Ticonderoga
A fort built by the French and used by both the French and the British during the French and Indian War. A great historical site to check out.
Wind-Chill Factory
Looking to kill time one evening? Take the scenic drive from Silver Bay to Ticonderoga and get the best soft serve ice cream you've ever had.

Star Trek Original Series Set Tour
When the STAR TREK television series was canceled in 1969, the original sets were dismantled and largely destroyed, only a few small items of the actual sets remain today, and they've been rebuilt in their origional glory at Star Trek Original Series Set Tour in Ticonderoga, NY. Black Mountain Hike
A 2.2 mile hike with one of the best views of Lake George. Take a boat from Silver Bay to Huletts Landing OR drive around the lake, through Ticonderoga.
