We first crossed paths while working at the same hospital, always nearby, but were ships in the night. With our paths never really crossing for long, until the day I (Brooke) had hernia surgery and Adam happened to be covering ICU overflow in the recovery room. I was still groggy with a post-op haze and called him over to visit. We ended up chatting about life, work, and family while my mom and sister watched as clear sparks flew, despite neither of us being available at the time. Fast forward two years and we were still just work pals until one day, the timing was finally right. Both single, Adam decided to shoot his shot (via Instagram message). From that moment, we’ve been thick as thieves. We love to travel and giggle together through this silly little life we are creating. Of all our travels, the trip that means the most was our getaway to Mexico for a friend’s wedding. I was certain Adam would never propose-not then, not ever. Then came a coooorny beach photo shoot at sunset, on our last night of vacation, ending with him down on one knee and through tears (him) asking if I'd be his best friend forever. We missed our dinner reservations that night and I've never been happier to miss a meal. We’re so grateful for these last five years of love, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you this February. Bring your hugs and your boogie shoes because we’re ready to dance into our biggest adventure yet!
