This is a massive repurposed textile factory turned into a local artist studio gathering. You can spend hours here exploring the local art, sculptures, and antiques. Think open air museum with a nice cafe in the middle.
Take a stroll to the center of town and visit the beautiful cathedral. This is a perfect spot for taking photos, soaking up the cities culture, grabbing some street food treats, and listening to mariachi.
Situated right next to the Numu and Rosewood Hotels, and right in front of Tres Fuentes (the welcome party venue) is a local park with basketball, a creek, and some local goods vendors. A classic experience not to be missed is visiting the stalls of Ignacio Ramírez Market. There are two parts of the market — the food/grocer and the artisanal section. Don’t miss either, and especially bring cash for the Mercado de Artesanías.
All the coffees here are sourced from coffee producers in Oaxaca. One of the cafe’s co-founders is a competitive barista, and the passion and dedication they have for coffee feels immediately present inside the space. This is the perfect first stop for a coffee lover in San Miguel de Allende.
Tucked away in a beautiful plaza away from the crowds and cars, this coffeeshop has a variety of coffee options and makes for coffee connoisseurs.
Reservation is a must, but If you have one night in San Miguel for a rooftop dinner, this would be our recommendation. The food is good (we enjoyed the apps more than the mains), but it’s the atmosphere and incredible views that make Qunice a standout restaurant.
Chef Daniel Durán is behind Mexican specialties like slow-cooked tongue tacos, shrimp tostadas, and black aguachile with habanero. Ocre’s drinks are dangerously tasty with options like a Mandarin Sour or Clover Club. The daytime vibe here is relaxed, but blossoms into a bona fide scene at night.
This is Michelin Star worthy but you will need a reservation WAY in advance to attend.
This is your ultimate (peso only) local taco stand. Perfect for late-night after-bar eats, or something more casual than a sit down restaurant.

One of the best tequila's in the world just so happens to have their tasting room and casa located in San Miguel. Book a tasting here for a unique experience but fair warning - it's on the pricey side.
