Adam and Brigid have always enjoyed traveling. They came from very different places but both moved to South Korea to start teaching at an international school on Jeju Island. During one of the very first weekends of the school year, all the teachers went to Gwakji Beach where they met! They hit it off immediately and have been together ever since!

Brigid was in Houston, Texas because of a Bachelorette party for a mutual friend, Patricia. It was the end of the trip and, on their last day, Patricia convinced Brigid that they needed to go to a park to scope out locations for a bridal photo shoot for Patricia. As they turned a corner into the beautiful Japanese Gardens inside Hermann Park Conservancy, Adam was standing on a bridge serenading Brigid with the song "I Want to Grow Old With You" on the ukulele. Adam had been planning with Patricia and August, their mutual friends from teaching in Korea, for weeks to surprise Brigid with a beautiful, grand proposal that she would not expect! The photos on this page are from that surprise proposal!

Adam and Brigid struggled with postponing their wedding. They loved their original wedding date and wanted to honor that date, while also wanting to get married before moving to Cairo. They decided with their officiant, Joey, to have a small and simple backyard ceremony at the Anderson house to show their commitment to each other. But, of course, they have always dreamed of sharing their love with a big wedding, so they wanted to keep their postponed date as well to have the more traditional wedding with all family and friends present. They can't wait to celebrate with you all!
