If anyone in your party is experiencing COVID-like symptoms, please consider canceling your trip. Vaccination & testing - The health & safety of our guests is of utmost priority -- especially for those who are immunocompromised in our families. We encourage friends & family to get vaccinated prior to our wedding. Vaccination is our best defense in slowing the spread & has been shown to be effective in reducing the severity & the rates of hospitalizations from contracting the virus. If you are unable or unwilling to get vaccinated prior to the event, we kindly ask that you consider getting a rapid COVID test within 48 hours of your arrival to Camp. We trust our friends & families to make the right decision for the safety of our guests. Masks Encouraged- We will continue to look to the CDC for guidance. We kindly ask you to consider wearing a mask when indoors in common areas around other guests. Much of our wedding activities will be outside or with the option to distance.
We met on OK Cupid (online). Adam's username was "Pizza Psychic" and he correctly guessed Brent's favorite pizza toppings to score a first date. After several dates we relaxed into being friends until we got the timing right in 2015 and picked up where we left off.
The venue will be outside weather permitting with ample space to social distance at your discretion. We will also have hand sanitizer on the premises. No other visitors besides our wedding guests and venue staff will be on the campground. We plan to iterate safety guidelines that's recommended by the CDC two weeks prior to provide you the most up to date information. Please be on the lookout for another email from us around that time.
Yes. There will be plenty to do for all ages. The YMCA will also have some camp staff onsite for specific activities and to give parents a chance to relax a bit during the day.
Unfortunately no. The campground kindly asks that pets be left at home.
You'll have a chance to canoe, swim on the lake, hike, bike on trails, play volleyball, etc. Equipment will be provided by the camp but there will NOT be a lifeguard on duty. There will be plenty of optional activities to join in on during the day, but feel free to go off and explore on your own as well.
Early Fall in Minnesota will be an ideal time to visit. Expect temperatures in high 60's/ low 70's during the day and mid 40's at night. Given the location near the lake, weather can be sometimes humid or buggy. If there are any inclement weather updates, we'll share those with you prior to your arrival via email.
Our reception will be dressy casual. Dress to your own comfort level, but the grooms will both be in suit & ties. Events will be outside (weather permitting) on the grounds avoid heels and bring layers. We'll be sending a suggested "pack list" for those of you joining us for the weekend.
